Forming future perfect tense questions involves following the standard structure of future tenses but includes "have" and the past participle of the main verb.

Structure for questions

  1. Using "Will":

    Structure
    Will + subject + have + past participle (V3) + [rest of the sentence]?

    Examples

    • They will have finished the report by tomorrow. -> Will they have finished the report by tomorrow?
    • You will have completed your homework by the time I arrive. -> Will you have completed your homework by the time I arrive?
    • They will have cleaned the house before the guests come. -> Will they have cleaned the house before the guests come?
    • We will have reached our destination by sunset. -> Will we have reached our destination by sunset?
  2. Using "Be Going To":

    Structure
    Is/Am/Are + subject + going to have + past participle (V3) + [rest of the sentence]?

    Examples

    • She is going to have completed the project by next week. -> Is she going to have completed the project by next week?
    • He is going to have written the letter by tomorrow morning. -> Is he going to have written the letter by tomorrow morning?
    • They are going to have prepared dinner by 8 PM. -> Are they going to have prepared dinner by 8 PM?
    • I am going to have finished the book before the weekend.-> Am I going to have finished the book before the weekend?
