Form future perfect continuous questions

Forming future perfect continuous tense questions is nearly the same as future perfect tense, but with an additional "been" and the main verb is in progressive verb form (verb with -ing).

Sentence structure

  1. Using "Will":

    Structure
    Will + Subject + Have Been + verb+ing + [rest of the sentence]?

    Example:

    • They will have been working on this project for a year by December. -> Will they have been working on this project for a year by December?
    • They will have been working on the presentation for three weeks by the time of the meeting. -> Will they have been working on the presentation for three weeks by the time of the meeting.
    • I will have been reading that book for a month when I finally finish it. -> Will I have been reading that book for a month when I finally finish it?
  2. Using "Be Going To":

    Structure
    Is/Am/Are + Subject + Going to Have Been + verb+ing + [rest of the sentence]?

    Example:

    • They are going to have been studying for hours by the time the test begins. -> Are they going to have been studying for hours by the time the test begins?
    • She is going to have been training for the marathon for six months by the race day. -> Is she going to have been training for the marathon for six months by the race day?
    • We are going to have been living in this city for five years by the end of the summer. -> Are we going to have been living in this city for five years by the end of the summer?
